Katherine & Marissa :: 4/16/22 :: Wedding in Long Beach

We love these two wonderful humans so so much and it was such a delight to be a part of their day!

Katherine and Marissa tied the knot at The Grand in Long Beach in the most colorful and love-filled day that was practically perfect in every way! We started with these two stunning brides getting ready in their adorable Airbnb in Long Beach. After capturing personal details (yes, their dresses are by the same designer and have matching lace!), we documented them each getting dressed separately and sharing a private first look. After final touches with their wedding party it was time for portraits in their photo spot-- South Coast Botanic Garden. We had so much fun with their joyful group of close family/friends and then visiting some beautiful spots all around the botanic gardens. After portraits were completed, it was time for these two to exchange their vows, rings and make it official! Their wonderful ceremony was filled with laughter, personal vows, the exchange of rings, and finally the kiss! After the family photos and some more details of the incredible reception decor once the space was flipped, these two made their grand entrance into the reception, followed the first dance, dinner and speeches. After eating some Hopia (their "cake") and dancing with their dads, it was partyyyyyyy time! And as always near the end of our coverage time, we stole the newlyweds away from the party with our flash for a romantic end of the night shot at the front of their venue.  It was such a privilege to be part of their day executed flawlessly by the wonderful Rock N' Willow Events!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
