Jen + Gary :: 12/10/22 :: Wedding in Mill Valley

Our last wedding of 2022 and boy oh boy was it a good one (despite the 50+mph winds and pouring rain most of the day).

Jen and Gary tied the knot in a sweet little town just north of the bay, Mill Valley. Their day started with these two getting ready together in their little Airbnb a few miles away from their venue, the Mill Valley Recreation Center. After some details and sweet moments together (gonna vote that EVERY couple gets ready together but that's just me!) we headed over to the venue for some portraits, set up details and family  photos. Before we knew it, it was ceremony time! After one of the quickest (but sweetest!) ceremonies ever, these two were officially official! We headed out for a few more portraits during a break in the rain and then back inside for the party! These two chilled at their cocktail hour for a bit and then were announced into the reception where their guests enjoyed dinner, speeches, cutting of a dessert tart (lol), the dessert bar, parent dances and finally a choreographed first dance! Once the dance floor was open, the party really got poppin' but we managed to steal the newlyweds away for a dramatic final photo at the entrance to the community center. It was a stunning day for a fabulous and fun couple and we are so thankful we got to travel to NorCal and be a part of this day!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
