Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events!

We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. The two grooms walked down the aisle together, followed by some readings and personal vows. When the vows were concluded— Gordon had set up a surprise for Hank! When cued with the right words by the officiant, music started playing and singers amongst the guest stood up to sing “Seasons of Love” from the musical Rent! It was such a special and emotional moment! Next the grooms exchanged rings and it was officially official! Mocktail hour followed and caterers at Harvest Kitchen crafted the most amazing vegan cuisine you could possibly imagine. There was socializing, snacking, games and merriment! As the hour was winding down, the guests were invited to sit and dine at one giant long table broken into seating sections, more symbols of unity and love! Gordon started the meal with prayer and as the meal went on and the sun went down each course was served with different speeches from important folks in the grooms’ lives. Finally it was time for cupcakes and dancing and we ended our night with my now all time favorite couple’s nighttime photo.

We wish endless and boundless joy for these two and it was an honor to be a part of their celebration!

Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
