Mollie + Byron :: 12/17/2023 :: Wedding in San Clemente
What a beautiful and FUN it was for Mollie and Byron! These two wed at the lovely and perfectly colorful La Ventura Event Center and it was a mostly cloudy but shockingly warm December day. The vibrant invitations (with their engagement session photos throughout) set the tone for the day: a fun, colorful, Disney-filled, personalized wedding! We started out with capturing all those little details as Mollie put on some finishing touches in her room at a nearby hotel. She then donned her beautiful dress surrounded by her mom and sisters and got ready to see her groom! After the first look, the nearlyweds and their wedding party ventured down to the nearby beach and spent some time together taking portraits. Afterwards, we returned to the venue for family portraits, a Ketubah signing and their ceremony. Finally after smashing the glass these two were married!
These two had an amazing planning team (Novelty Events) and after discovering lead planner, Melissa, had surprised the couple a toy that looked like their pup Wally, I took photos of the little guy all over the venue as a "where's Wally" fun little addition to the photos. While the actual Wally couldn't be at the wedding, I wanted to make sure it felt like he was there with his mom and dad while they tied the knot :)
At cocktail hour, Mollie and Byron delightfully surprised their guests with two additional guests-- Llamas named Butterfly and Fabio! After a quick portrait session with the llamas, we headed down to the beach again for some more newlywed portraits and managed to get a sliver of golden hour despite the heavy cloud cover. Then we headed back for a grand entrance, first dance (with cold sparklers), Hora, welcome toasts and dinner. After all the reception events were completed and dancing was in full swing, we stole the newlyweds away from the party for a romantic evening photo! It was such a marveous day for such a wonderful couple, we wish them many years of joy and happiness :D
