Amanda & Levi :: 3-15-14 :: Wedding in Santa Ana

Amanda and Levi had such a marvelous day! We are so honored to have been a part of their wedding in so many ways from designing their invitations, menu and programs to spending the day at Catalina with them for their engagement session and, of course, being their wedding photographers! Our day with Amanda and Levi began at their venue, the Santa Ana Elks Lodge where we documented their details and getting ready process. Next, we took Amanda and Levi across the street to the Santa Ana Zoo where they had their first look. Their reaction upon seeing one another is one of our favorites! After we spent some time taking pictures with the lovely bride and groom, their hilariously fun bridal party headed over to the zoo where we took photos with this good-looking posse ;) We especially loved that everyone had bare feet! After some relaxation and prayer, it was time for the ceremony to begin at the beautifully decorated Elks Lodge gazebo. After Amanda and Levi had exchanged vows and rings, they washed each others feet as a symbol of love, devotion and service to one another as husband and wife. Then it was time for the party to begin inside the Elks Lodge with dinner, toasts, dancing, candy, cake and glow-sticks! The whole day was a wonderful time of fun, celebration, and so much love. We wish them all the best as they begin their new life together! :)

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
