Featured on The Overwhelmed Bride! One fine day the fox and the owl wed! Despite being from the sky and the earth, these two lovers would let nothing stop them as love always wins out. The inspiration behind this styled shoot was fusing the ideas of old and new together, bringing a moody Victorian vintage aesthetic to a modern love story. The enchanted and unique treasure trove of Big Daddy’s Antiques in Los Angeles set the perfect stage for this tale. This emence warehouse of finds is filled with an eclectic collection of do-dads, thingamabobs and dohickies galore! Instead of trees, there were turn-of-the-century columns, instead of the stars, there were hanging moroccan chandeliers from the 1920’s. Layers of unique artifacts from yesteryear served as the striking backdrop and focal points for our ceremony and stylized vignettes. Both a taxidermy owl (from Big Daddy’s!) and fox (from Bischoffs Taxidermy) played a starring role throughout the shoot representing the uniqueness o...
Kelsey and Robbie had such a beautiful wedding day at the Katie Wheeler Library and the surrounding Irvine Ranch! We had perfect weather, a gorgeous venue, and a wonderful couple! Our day started out with Kelsey getting ready. We documented all the beautiful details including her stunningly beautiful wedding dress, to which she had elegant lace and sleeves added. After Kelsey's mom and twin sister had helped her get dressed, she took a peek outside to see Robbie who had just arrived. She was overwhelmed with joy and shed happy tears upon seeing him! Next was their first look near the side of the historic ranch house (now a library) where there were some more happy tears :) After we took family and bridal party photos it was time for the ceremony. Kelsey and Robbie exchanged vows of love in front of the gazebo in the middle of the property. After the ceremony (and one of my favorite first-kiss photos yet!) we spent some time with the bride and groom in the ranch's lovely orang...
Our first to two weddings this year and boy oh boy was it a good one (despite the unseasonably warm heat!). Sasha and Brenden tied the knot at the stunning Muckenthalar Mansion , just a few miles from our home! Our day with the couple started with their first look, wedding party and couple's portraits. Before we knew it, it was ceremony time. After one of the quickest (but sweetest!) ceremonies ever, featuring a "first shot" of tequila, these two were officially official! After family photos and some detail shots it was time to party. During the reception their guests enjoyed dinner, speeches, cake cutting, parent dances and creating a custom work of abstract art for the couple to hang in their home! Once the dance floor was opened with a giant group shot, we stole the couple away for some magical golden hour photos at the end of our time with them. A beautiful end for a stunning day!
