Adriana & Carlos :: Day-After Wedding Session :: Santiago Oaks Regional Park

Adriana and Carlos wanted to do a day-after session at a woodsy and lush location where we would be able to take more variety of photos then we could on their wedding day. So naturally we thought of beautiful Santiago Oaks in Orange where we have done several stunning sessions. We had plenty of time on the wedding day to take portraits of the newlyweds but they wanted even more time to relax and enjoy being together as bride and groom while also taking some more beautiful pictures. These two love photographs and so it was my pleasure to take photos of them once again!  They wanted the session to reflect the subtle Disney theme of their wedding while also having a using their wedding colors so we incorporated some themed props (both mine and theirs!) including a chalkboard sign, wood scrabble tiles with their rings and the name of their first dance song, a colorful picnic set up including vintage luggage and champagne and a bottle I hand painted, a live flower bouquet that I made (I'm a wanna-be florist! ;)) and they wore their stunning wedding attire, including Carlos' grape soda pin from the movie Up. We had such a fun session exploring the canyons and taking some more elegant and romantic shots of these two. We LOVE day-after sessions and hope to do more in the future!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
