Alicia & Caleb :: 9-22-18 :: Wedding in Hopland

Alicia and Caleb are dear friends of ours and we had the immense pleasure to document their wedding day! Their wedding was an out of town adventure for us as they got married in Hopland, CA which is a few hours north of the Bay Area :) It was such a blast to explore beautiful wine country and spend a wonderful weekend with this amazing group of people! On the wedding day, the girls started off their day getting ready together at a rental home on the property at one of the many stunning vineyards in the area. After some detail shots, everyone got dressed, and we toasted to a successful wedding day! Meanwhile, the guys were getting ready at an AirBnb in adorable downtown Hopland and had some laughs together while donning their dapper suits. Once everyone was ready, we all traveled over to their venue, the stunningly beautiful Contento Vineyard at Brutacao Cellars Winery for these two to do their first look! These two were so sweet and tender once the saw each other in their wedding best, they both laughed and loved how great the other looked! Next we had a blast spending some time with their awesome bridal party and families and then it was time for the ceremony! For their ceremony these two exchanges traditional vows and successfully lit a unity candle, which was a struggle because of the constant breeze. It was so exciting to see them finally become husband and wife! After more bride and groom portraits during golden hour around the stunning venue, the newlyweds joined the party and their beautiful twinkle-light filled reception filled with elegant muted tones and sweet details. Their reception was full of joyful toasts, an emotional first dance and sweet cake cutting. We loved every moment of this wedding and it was such a delight to be a part of their day from designing their invitation suite to taking their engagement and wedding photos!!

Gordon + Hank :: 4/8/23 :: Wedding in Pioneer Town

G+H had the most magical day in the most magical of places— Rimrock Ranch in Pioneer Town, Yucca Valley! The weather was literally perfect and every detail was thoughtful and intentional and executed flawlessly by Katie at Best Day Ever Events! We started with the two grooms taking photo all over the property and even with one of the horses, Ranger. Next, it was time for guest arrival and ceremony where their guests were first greeted by singing from one of their favorite performers, Leslie Page. As the guests began to sample cocktails from Your Little Local and take their seats, each guest was given a red, woven bracelet. Once everyone was seated, the officiant Lori Kahn explained that the grooms wished their guests to infuse their love and positive energy into their bracelets and place them on their wrists. Melissa & Peter :: 11-11-17 :: Wedding in Irvine

Melissa and Peter are such sweeties! We started out their warm sunny wedding day at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana,  where Melissa got ready with her bridesmaids. After a few fun shots in their robes and everyone was dressed ready to go, Melissa's bestie helped her get into her gorgeous dress, veil and garter. Next, we headed to their venue, the Eureka Building in Irvine where  the bridal party took some photos, being careful to keep bride and groom separate from one another. We also did a first look with Melissa and her dad and a "not" first look with Melissa and Peter, both were so fun and sweet! After those portraits were done, it was ceremony time filled with a sweet and emotional first look, personal vows and three cord braiding ceremony.  Once these two were officially Mr. and Mrs. we spent some time doing family photos, bridal party photos and portraits of the newlyweds in the setting sun.
